For a long time, it seemed as though magic was almost as bad of a word as “mutant” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thor: The Dark World even tried to explain the unexplainable by saying that many aspects of Asgardian life were just their version of new technology not yet available on earth. But ever since Doctor Strange joined the lineup, the Mystic Arts have come into play so let’s take a look at the classic clash between the best the science bros have to offer versus magic. Tony Stark wouldn’t have become a hero without his Iron Man suit, and cutting edge technology is the reason Bucky Barnes has two arms. It also turned Bruce Banner into the Incredible Hulk, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on your perspective! But we’ve seen some incredible spells, especially during the Infinity Saga while battling against the Mad Titan Thanos. There are definitely some benefits to both schools of thought on the subject so let’s look at some of the most amazing MCU feats and see whether magic or science comes out on top.
