Finding Stamina for Ultimate Success

Описание: In Luke 9:62 we discover a principle of living that brings success and accomplishment. Based on stamina and persistence we overcome the temptations to wander and quit. Through guidance, encouragement and fortitude from the Holy Spirit we are able to endure to the end when we meet Jesus face to face and hear those words, “Well done, my faithful servant.”

Jesus used the image of a farmer plowing a field to make a crucial point about our faith. If a farmer keeps turning around to look behind him, the rows get crooked and the harvest is ruined. Staying focused on the goal ahead is the only way to endure.

This service explores what it really means to take up a cross daily and why the concept of daily surrender is critical for overcoming negative habits and sudden obstacles. It also features the story behind a famous chess painting that proves why, with God on your side, you are never actually in checkmate.
