Built for NAS use with features like AgileArray dual-plane balancing, rotational vibration sensors, and Error Recovery Control (ERC). It’s rated for up to 180 TB/year workload and an MTBF of 1 million hours, tailored for always on multi-bay environments

IronWolf 12 TB consistently outperforms both WD Red Plus and lower-capacity IronWolf drives, with read speeds up to 258 MB/s and writes around 252 MB/s
WD Red Plus 12 TB, while decent in performance, tends to fall behind, especially in large transfers.
IronWolf Pro 12 TB delivers similar—or slightly faster—speeds due to firmware and media gradients.
