Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen… Welcome to one I’m sure that you’ve all been waiting for. Nottinghamshire isn’t called Robin Hood’s county for nothing. The fact that the Nottinghamshire flag features the man himself is testament to that. Today we’re in the village that’s most associated with the man himself. This is Edwinstowe. It was here, according to legend, that the Sheriff of Nottingham lived, and married Maid Marian in St Marys Church. Make no mistake about it, if you come to Edwinstowe you kind of can’t escape the Robin Hood stuff, it’s literally all around you.
