Vapes in an extreme case, even when they seem totally done with regular use, can hold enough charge to ignite a fire. The culprit is the Lithium Ion battery that’s stored inside the tube (in this vape) and reachable vapes also. Should damage occur and wire get ripped from the battery (which isn’t that hard) they can touch and short
out.
This battery came from a vape I just dropped and the back end came loose. I was able to pull out the battery and flavor system for this type of vape. The wires were so lose they came unattached instantly and almost were touching.
I did this video as a reminder to keep in mind at all times that they CAN cause fires. Not that they will all the time. They are generally safe and have no issues. But time to time they fail. And that’s where knowledge becomes power.
