This past Wednesday, Alexander Dennis brought over an Enviro500 to New Jersey Transit headquarters to showcase the bus and all of its features. This could be for a potential order in the near future, who knows.
The inside of this bus is pretty nice, but it is definitely not tall people friendly. I'm relatively short at 5ft 6 inches, and my head barely touches the upper level ceiling which has a 5ft, 7 inch clearance. I would have gotten videos, but there were plenty of executives on the bus.
It would be interesting to see what will unfold with New Jersey Transit's potential orders in the coming years.
This bus has a Cummins ISL9 380HP engine with an Allison B500R6 Gen V transmission. This bus also has an option to be specified with a ZF Ecolife 6AP1700B transmission.
