This older edition of the Dankung Toucan, which is made of 304 stainless steel (guaranteed by Dankung), stands out by its larger size and a wider fork width. Weighing in at 300 grams, it feels very solid in the hand, and is truly attractive with its shiny polished surfaces and the black Paracord wrapped around the grip section.

Designed for the so-called "pinch grip", the "Toucan" ensures that wrist torsion linked to draw weight and shot release is kept to a minimum. The index and thumb groove extensions enable a very steady and consistent grip position of this slingshot, which is also suitable for larger hands: this is further enhanced by the black anti-slip rubber sections wrapped around the fork limbs.

Shooters can opt for either rubber tubes or flat bands: for those using flat bands, I would suggest inserting pieces of wood dowels in the fork limb holes intended for tubes, as this facilitates the wrap & tuck process while attaching flat bands. Dankung provide a similar contraption made of plastic or hard rubber, somewhere on their website at a very low price.

The 5.5 cm (2.16 inches) fork gap makes this slingshot suitable for larger steel ammo such as 12 mm (0.47 inches) in conjunction with higher draw weights.

All in all, this Dankung stainless steel slingshot is well made and excellent value for money in my opinion.
