CSAO Burlington & RiverLine Overnight Operations - High Hoods, Pacing and downtown action

Описание: Continuing along with the Conrail Shared Assets videos, this video begins to cover some of the operations in Burlington Yard in namesake Burlington, NJ, which is located along the former Conrail Bordentown Secondary, now NJ Transit's RiverLine light rail. While a run to International Paper in Florence is possible daylight as it is along Conrail's own rails, anything over the RiverLine is restricted to 10 PM - 6 AM, including the night time transfer from Pavonia Yard in Camden to Burlington..

First, we take it way back to July 12th, 2015 to catch Conrail WPBU-11 the former afternoon job based outta Burlington that worked International Paper. This train was abolished in 2017 with the IP work moved to the evening crew, WPBU-20. Positioned at Neck Road at the north end of Burlington Yard, WPBU-11 departs for Florence to work IP with NS GP38-2 5019 and CSX GP40-2 4425 powering the train. While the RS3L horn was fouled on 5019, the return trip featured CSX 4425's nice cab mounted K5LA, while I caught returning back south at Dultys Lane and sorting their train out at the south end of Burlington Yard. The 4425 has since been rebuilt to a GP40-3.

Fast forward to the late evening/early morning of October 30th into early Halloween morning, I'm at Burlington South Station for WPCA-29, the Sunday - Friday transfer from Camden to Burlington back. This evening, NS GP38-2 5278 and 5271 power the train, with a power swap for Burlington as well, bringing GP38-2 5225 up and taking 5019 back south.

A few days later on November 2nd, Kyle (TrainiacProductions) and myself went out to look for WPBU-20 and WPCA-29. Starting with a pace through downtown Burlington, we chased the BU-20 south as they headed down to work at their customer at Rimtek, with CSX GP38-2 2620 and NS GP38-2 5225 running push pull, catching them returning back north not much longer after. Soon after that, WPCA-29 came north with the NS 5278/5271 pair once again.
