1090 Adventure is TOO HEAVY! Here‘s How I Fixed It…

Описание: With a wet weight of 230 Kg, the KTM 1090 Adventure was one of the lightest large capacity adventure bikes of it's time. But that doesn't mean that it's light enough to take on the trails. Adding hard luggage, crash protection, tankbag, sat-nav, jacuzzi etc... quickly sends the scales skywards and makes the possibility of having to heave all of that heft out of the hedge a simply terrifying proposition!

So I've decided to see what I can do to the 1090 in order to shift the scales in my favour. Nothing is out of bounds and I'll be delving right into the belly of this fine beast to see where every single gram can be saved!

Can you guess the final wet weight before the end of the video??

** In my various witterings and ponderings, it seems I've become confused about the weight of the Yamaha T7. Apparently they actually weigh 205 Kg wet, so take my comparisons with a pinch of salt! It's possible I took the World Raid version by accident, which is 220Kg wet and possibly a better comparison as it has the same sized 23 litre fuel tank as the 1090!
