As a result of the IMF's dissolution and Ethan Hunt's (Tom Cruise) isolation, the Syndicate, a new menace, soon arises. A network of highly trained assassins known as The Syndicate is committed to bringing about a new world order through an increasing number of terrorist operations. Ethan collects his crew and teams up with Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), a disavowed British operative who may or may not be a citizen of this lethal rogue nation when faced with what may be the most challenging task yet.
