Hi, as I'm learning the Morse code now, I thought what a nice way to start learning the Morse again.
I passed my Radio Amateur Test in 1999, I was leaning Morse code at a local college
The Morse code requirement was dropped in 2003 allowing you full access onto HF
Now some 23 years on I missed an opportunity to stick with it, at the time I had very little interest in Morse code, I only use SSB for all my contacts and am a very keen DXer, I do not have any interest in FT8, FT4,FT2, I'm not against it , its just not for me at this moment in time.
back to the prototype Morse key made from Brass offcuts that I had laying around in the workshop.
I had no plan or vision on how it was going to look or end up, I just made as I went along.
After a little bit of lathe work, milling & grinding, I came up with this,
I'm quite happy with the end result, but even during making and fitting the parts I already had a vision on what I'm going to do next time, when i make another Morse key, because its now made , I will not tweak, alter or change the original from what I have made.
But the next version will be much better and nicer.
I will be making various keys for sure.
Thanks for looking & Kind regards Keith M1EMC
