With the refreshed Toyota Hilux and the Toyota Fortuner arriving last 2020, it was only a matter of time when the refreshed Toyota Innova will make it to our shores. The wait is finally over, since the 2021 Toyota Innova is finally here. In this Filipino car review, we check out the facelifted Toyota Innova E M/T to see how it changed from the previous generation Toyota Innova. Known as the Toyota Crysta in other markets, the refreshed Innova gets a few tweaks here and there but largely stays the same. Despite these few changes, the Innova still remains a best seller in Toyota Philippines' lineup, mainly due to its durability and reliable performance at an affordable price point. The 2021 Toyota Crysta Innova did not get the uprated diesel engine in the refreshed Fortuner and Hilux Conquest, but still stays with the same proven diesel mill. The Innova may not have as much features as the Geely Okavango Plus, or the Maxus D60, or even the GAC GN6, but it has one huge ace, which is its torquey diesel engine.
