This video studies the X-ray spectrum by measuring the intensity of the X-rays of different wavelengths emitted by electrons stopped by a material (molibdenum).
It starts with an historic introduction on the discovery of the X-rays, and their identification with electromagnetic waves. Then the experimental setup used to analyze the spectrum, and the results obtained, are detailed. Some practical applications of the X-rays are also mentioned.
