1. Hi Andrea, I have started knitting your new pattern Frost line and im loving it. I have some vintage buttons that i want use however there only 3/4 " buttons and the pattern calls for 1". Is there a way i could modify the button holes to accommodate my vintage buttons?

2. This is probably a silly question, but I’m not sure I understand how to measure sleeve length. When a pattern says to knit to a certain length, should I measure from the underarm or the corner of the shoulder?
I have one more question for another baker/knitter. Is there any connection between the enriched bread and the knit stitch? Is one named after the other? They’re both a little involved/complicated?

3. Hi Andrea! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and love of the craft every week. I found a pullover pattern I like, but I’d prefer it as a cardigan. How would you go about adding a steek column when it’s not written into the pattern? I assume you’d need to subtract out a few stitches from the body to account for the button band, and then add extra stitches back for the steek column, but I’m not sure exactly what that math would be. Thanks!!

4. Hi Andrea! I recently tries to cast on the jaunty shawl and was really excited about how fast I was progressing. But when I came back to it the next day, I had a lot of trouble reading my work and seeing where I left off! Since then I've frogged and tried again and again, keeping track with paper and row counters, but I just can't seem to read my work in half fishermen's rib. I always end up doubting my notes or feeling unsure of myself. Are there any special tips or tricks to be able to read the work so I can resume with confidence?

5. Thanks for sharing your joy of knitting through both your weekly Q&A and your patterns. I have reknit the DRK Everyday Cowl AND the Jaunty several times just this year because of how fun they are. Your passion truly translates into each stitch.

My question is do you reinforce your knit pockets for practical use? I want to make the Comebackigan but as soon as I think about throwing my heavy phone in the pocket day after day, I can't help but worry about a saggy silhouette. I thought about maybe duplicate stitching the body of the cardigan where the pocket would lie with a wool/nylon sock yarn or maybe using stay tape to the top of the inside pocket for added structure. Both? Idk. Thanks for any advice that helps me feel supported and not sweating the heavy stuff.
