Bezel Settings for Cabochon Gemstones On a Curved Surface ( Inner Bezels are Key!)-I will show you how to use an inner bezel to avoid common problems with bezel setting a gemstone on a curved surface and positions your stone at the perfect height for bezel setting. Using an inner bezel also solves the problem of setting cabochon stones with rounded bottoms, a very common bezel setting scenario. These bezel setting techniques are exactly the same whether goldsmithing or silversmithing, I usually make all of my inner bezels from fine silver.
