Old Software Revival: MSN Messenger Server with Windows Messenger 4.7 & Trillian 0.73

To set it up:
You need to have MSN client that supports protocol MSNP4 (MSN Protocol Version 4). Some of them are included in download.
To redirect client to connect to your server instead of messenger.hotmail.com, simply add address into hosts file and set the IP of actual server (in my case it's 127.0.0.1 if you're running it along with server, so localhost).

That should make it work just fine. There are other ways, but I won't bother with that anyway for now.
