I made this synth-bass out of an old violin. It has an infrared sensor that detects the string vibrations. You change the pitch by stretching the string, either with the lever or just by pulling.
Features
powered by attached USB cord.
1/4" output jack
change the lowest note by adjusting the cord stop at the top.
overall its note range is about G0 through G4.
the lever's note range it bends through is about 2 octaves.
removable peg at the bottom holds the string.
brass bridge, nut, hinge, hardware.
violin is made of solid wood, I added a durable polyurethane coating.
