Coronavirus Crisis: PM Modi Reviews Covid Situation, Directs Plans To Boost Fight In Rural Areas

Описание: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting to review Covid-19 situation in India and to take stock of vaccination program in the country.
PM Modi directed that a distribution plan should be worked out to ensure oxygen supply in rural areas, including through provision of oxygen concentrators. PM Modi asked for augmentation of healthcare resources in rural areas to focus on door-to-door testing and surveillance. He also spoke about empowering ASHA and Anganwadi workers with all necessary tools to boost fight in rural areas.
PM Modi took stock of the third phase of vaccination drive in India and discussed the roadmap for future vaccine availability. He directed officials to work closely with states to ramp up the speed of vaccination.
