This is the sixth episode in the build series of putting in a 1VD-FTV turbo diesel engine from a 79 series into my 80 Series Landcruiser. This channel is a vlog of my journey as a backyard restorer and follows my restomod builds. Make sure you check out my other builds too!
In this video, we run into an issue trying to fire it up, but then continue on with welding the exhaust and then exploring the final parts that have been added. Finally, we then get it fired up after an ECU adjustment. My aim is to complete this conversion in just 7 weeks! At least it runs now!
Throughout this build series, I share what I am learning along the way and the mistakes I make in order to show you, that anyone can have a crack at this type of conversion (if they have the patience!).
