I visit arguably the most exciting area of Istanbul, its old bazaar district. I visit both the photogenic and mesmerising Spice Market and Grand Bazaar (the oldest and largest covered market in the world), before travelling to the spiritual hub of the area, the Suleymaniye Mosque.
The city’s eclectic mix of Moorish, Renaissance and Modernist cultural landmarks are all within walking distance.
