Описание: Revolt of 1857, also known as the Indian Rebellion of 1857 or the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 or 1857 ka virdroh, was an uprising of the Indian soldiers of the British India Company against the British which then became a nationwide rebellion of people. The revolt began after an Indian sepoy of the East India Company, Mangal Pandey, was hanged for inciting a mutiny amongst soldiers and attacking British officers. The rebellion involved some famous Indian leaders including Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, Nanasaheb, Tatya Tope, Bahadur Shah Zafar and Begam Hazrat Mahal.
