Bunny Berigan And his Blue Boys
The most popular musician of Bix Beiderbecke's successors was Bunny Berigan. He was an authentic Big band trumpeter, I played with Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey in the mid-1930s and then formed his own Big Band. With it he had a 'hit' that corresponded to '' Body and soul '' by Coleman Hawkins: '' I can't get started ''. Absolutely among the best exponents of the classic jazz trumpet, Berigan succeeded in assimilating the power and ardor of Armstrong, the lyricism and the melancholic vein of Beiderbecke, giving life to a mix of mastery difficult to find in other trumpeters.
