Ukraine-Russia ceasefire crumbles within hours

Описание: Russia and Ukraine have both accused each other of violating their own separate and self-declared ceasefires, raising fresh fears of a major escalation.

Just hours after a unilateral truce announced by Ukraine was supposed to begin at midnight, Ukrainian officials say Russia launched dozens of drones.

In northeastern Ukraine, two Russian drones reportedly struck a kindergarten in downtown Sumy, killing a security guard and wounding two other adults. No children were present at the time.

Meanwhile, Russia has warned of retaliatory strikes on Kyiv if Ukraine disrupts the May 9 Victory Parade in Moscow.
