President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. witnessed the Joint Task Force (JTF) Maritime Strike during the Philippines-United States Exercise Balikatan 41-2026 at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City on May 6, 2026. Underscoring the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) growing capabilities, the exercise demonstrated that the AFP can operate alongside international partners to promote regional security and freedom of navigation.

This year’s Balikatan 41-2026 is especially significant as it also marks the 75th anniversary of the Mutual Defense Treaty between the Philippines and the United States.
