When Pommelien announced her long anticipated 2nd album, I knew I wanted to do a cover of one of the songs on it. When it came out, this song “Bel me als je thuis bent.” resonated a lot with me. The concept of now knowing anything anymore, how your thoughts won’t stop taking over and how you just want to call, because it’s the one moment that you stop thinking. The insecurities she mentions and just everything she describes. Especially as I was recording it, I could feel the lyrics. I hope you enjoy my version of the song and if you happen to not be Dutch-speaking: I added the English translation of the lyrics in the subtitles, so just turn those on on YouTube ✨
