For many autistic people—especially those diagnosed later in life—"Who am I?" isn't just a philosophical question. It's a personal one. A survival one.
In this episode of Autistic After Hours, we explore why so many autistic adults experience a delayed or fragmented sense of self, how masking and mis-recognition erode identity, and what it looks like to slowly, tenderly reclaim who you really are.
We’ll look at neurodiversity-affirming research on identity development, share lived experiences of unmasking, and reflect on what it means to reconnect with your preferences, values, and inner world—maybe for the first time.
