When businessman Eugênio Mazon launched the communal transportation system in Mogi downtown (Mogi Mirim - MG) in the 1950s, it initially consisted of transporting 14 children to and from school between Conchal and Mogi Mirim. Soon after, Mazon started providing brief trips to local business workers, which quickly developed into a system of shared urban transportation and tourism.
Eugenio made the decision to form Viaço Santa Cruz S.A. on June 14, 1958 in order to enhance their offerings. The new business launches its operations soon after purchasing a Ford F600 landscaper to cater to the industries that were starting to settle in the area, creating jobs and encouraging development.
