My name is Xanthe.
My primary diagnoses are bipolar disorder (type 1) and posttraumatic stress disorder, PTSD. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety for years before my diagnoses were revised after assessments.
In this video, processing some memories associated with a major event in my town. Links and associations are very strong for me, especially when my mood is elevated.
An entire teaching block burnt down at a school I taught at briefly. My short-lived teaching career ended with an incident in that building.
I recount what I remember plus also remember the associated intolerance back in those days (over 20 years ago) about employment with mental health struggles.
Teaching is a stressful job as it is, but I wasn't even allowed to try part-time teaching. It was either all or nothing.
My mind also links things strongly, so I linked for example to the 'burnt' sienna in the painting I had started. Also, that I took some reference pics of the firestation the evening before the fire. Also, that at least 3 workplaces had previous fires.
Two youths have been charged with arson.
