In this episode we address a poor spark issue with a Mitsubishi 2.0l GDI engine (4G94).
The car is a 2002 Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin SWB (3 door), Mirage trim level, so comes fully loaded with all the bells and whistles.
The Groupie reported poor idle and some lack of power,
so we had a look at it. See what we found and how we fixed it.
There is some other work coming up with this car, namely cam belt change, some filters, exhaust, etc.
Compared to the good old Jeep, the Mitsubishi needs a lot more time to do the same job, everything is cramped, access can be difficult some times and spare parts are at least 3 times the price.
But ... The Groupie loves it, so we have to keep it going ...:-)
It's also surprisingly capable 4x4, utilising the same Gearbox (Aisin AW4) as the Jeep and a rear limited slip differential.
