1. SOUNDBITE (English) Sen. Elizabeth Warren, (D) Massachusetts:
++BEGINS ON WIDE SHOT AND ZOOMS IN++
"Here we are well into the second week, and it is still the case that the Trump administration cannot explain the reasons that we entered this war, the goals we're trying to accomplish, and the methods for doing that."
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Sen. Richard Blumenthal, (D) Connecticut:
"There seems to be no endgame. The president says that it's nearly complete, but the Department of Defense says that it's just begun."

3. SOUNDBITE (English) Sen. Richard Blumenthal, (D) Connecticut:
"And what the costs are going to be, not only in immediate terms, but longer term for our economy. The rising cost of gasoline is just one sign of impending economic chaos."
4. SOUNDBITE (English) Sen. Lindsey Graham, (R) South Carolina:
"We need to be all in and finish the job. I've never been more impressed with a military operation than I am at Epic Fury."

5. SOUNDBITE (English) Sen. Lindsey Graham, (R) South Carolina:
"At the end of the day, it's imperative that not only do we take their capability down of attacking us with missiles, building nuclear weapons and supporting proxies, but somebody is in charge of that place that does not want to do it in the future. That will be up to the Iranian people. It's not when it ends, it is how it ends."

STORYLINE:
Iran’s attacks on regional oil infrastructure and threats to choke off maritime traffic left markets on edge Tuesday as the United States promised blistering new strikes.
The war entered its 11th day with no end in sight, as its effects were felt across the region and beyond.
Both sides sharpened their rhetoric as they dug in. U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth again promised the most intense strikes yet, while Iran’s leaders ruled out talks and directly threatened President Donald Trump.
On Capitol Hill, senators commented on the ongoing military operation and U.S. involvement in the war, with many questioning the end goal.
“There seems to be no endgame,” said Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn. “The president, almost in a single breath, says it’s almost done, and at the same time, it’s just begun. So this is kind of contradictory.”
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., raised concerns about the cost of war.
“The one part that seems clear is that while there is no money for 15 million Americans who lost their health care, there’s a billion dollars a day to spend on bombing Iran,” Warren said.
“The one thing Congress has the power to do is to stop actions like this through the power of the purse,” she added.
