Описание: In this Chemistry video in Hindi for Class 11 we explained what enthalpy in thermodynamics is. It is also known as the heat content.

In thermodynamics, enthalpy, is the sum of a thermodynamic system's internal energy and the product of its pressure and volume.

The pressure–volume term expresses the work required to establish the system's physical dimensions, i.e. to make room for it by displacing its surroundings.

For an endothermic process enthalpy of the system increases, i.e., change in enthalpy is positive.
For an exothermic process enthalpy of the system decreases, i.e., change in enthalpy is negative.
