In August 2014, Tabqa Airbase was a small enclave controlled by government forces in northern Syria. Aircraft component consisted mostly of MiG-21s, of which many were not airworthy. However, on 10 August, the so-called Islamic State launched an offensive against the airbase, determined to eliminate this enclave in the territory they controlled. Will the defenders be able to repel the attacks? Check out in this video.
