Episode Two of Season Two takes us from onboard Bhaile into the shop as we continue building this system the right way — clean, serviceable, and fully aligned with ABYC best practices.

We start onboard tracing existing wire runs and evaluating routing, support, and protection before extending the Bennett Marine Trim Tab wiring harness. Rather than splicing blindly, we walk through:

• Proper conductor sizing verification
• Maintaining color code consistency
• Waterproof termination methods
• Heat-shrink crimp connections vs open barrel
• Securing and supporting harness extensions
• Avoiding voltage drop issues in control circuits

From there, we shift into the shop to break down the different Lumishore lighting modules that will power this new underwater lighting system. Instead of mounting components wherever there’s space, we step back and engineer the layout.
