Описание: Welcome to Bandar Seri Begawan – the capital city of Brunei and possibly one of the quietest capital cities I’ve ever set foot in.

In this unscripted travel vlog, I spend the day exploring the centre of Brunei’s capital, walking from the waterfront to the iconic Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, across ceremonial squares, through remnants of British colonial rule, and finishing at the Royal Regalia Museum (which, surprise surprise, was closed). From golden domes and wave-shaped bridges to fenced-off history centres and completely deserted streets, this is my honest experience of Brunei's capital – heat, heritage, and the occasional WTF moment.

Oh – and there’s a confession in here too. I’m a smoker, which turned out to be illegal in most public spaces in Brunei. That alone had me considering a swift exit. Add in pricey taxis, no cigarettes for sale, and no public transport to Malaysia… let’s just say, it was nearly cold turkey in 33° heat.
