Everyone knows Megadeth for being a factory of incredible guitar players…but in reality, just as many drummers have passed through the band throughout the years. So today, let's take a look at the history of all of them.
We will take a look at the early days of Megadeth and discuss the first drummers Dave Mustaine brought into the band, including Dijon Carruthers, Richard Girod, Brett Frederickson, Lee Rauch, and then talk about the first records of Megadeth, recorded with Gar Samuelson and Chuck Behler, who helped shape Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!, Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? and So Far, So Good... So What!
We will then talk about the golden era of Megadeth with Nick Menza and Jimmy DeGrasso, discuss the Shawn Drower, Chris Adler eras, and of course the latest era of Megadeth with Dirk Verbeuren behind the drum kit, as well as the brief additions of Vinnie Colaiuta and Tony Laureano.
And who is your favourite Megadeth drummer?
