On December 23, 2025, during the Christmas holiday season, a longstanding tradition continued in the neighborhood of San Mateo located on the Northside of Jacksonville, Florida - a visit from Santa! Up and down the streets of San Mateo, Santa rode in his sleigh. He was accompanied by Mrs. Claus, The Grinch and many helpers. Santa, Mrs. Claus and The Grinch visited with all the families that stood at the foot of their driveways or were waiting patiently for them at the neighborhood park. Two of Santa’s helpers handed out bags of candy to the children and handed bags of cat and dog treats to the fur baby parents. This allowed plenty of time for photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Of course, The Grinch tried to steal the show by getting his own photo opportunities with the San Mateo residents before Santa did. However, The Grinch didn’t know that this year prior to his ride, Santa offered a photo opportunity with him and Mrs. Claus at the San Mateo Elementary School. Oh what fun it was that special holiday night.
