Livium signs broader 3-year deal with BYD Australia

Описание: Livium Ltd CEO and managing director Simon Linge talked with Proactive about the company's expanded recycling agreement with BYD Australia. The revised agreement marks a significant development, extending beyond the initial scope to now include new energy initiatives, grid systems, and broader activity in the Australian market.

Linge explained that the renewed contract now commences in May 2025, shifting from the previously agreed August 2024 start. The new terms lock in a three-year commitment with a one-year extension option.

The partnership may also lay the groundwork for geographic expansion, with Livium and BYD in early discussions about extending the model into New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Linge highlighted BYD’s confidence in Livium’s governance, compliance, and safety credentials.

In addition to the BYD deal, Livium recently secured a major recycling contract with Sell & Parker, expected to generate at least $3 million over the next 12 months and $5 million across the life of the agreement. Linge also referenced continued progress on several fronts including VSPC, the company's battery materials division, which recently received a $30 million ARENA grant, and ongoing work with Mineral Resources on leaner technologies.

The company continues to prioritise scaling its recycling business and is actively engaging investors to support various initiatives.
