This is a DirectX5-based video from the remake of "Ancient Ys Vanished Omen" known as "Ys Eternal" for the Windows® 9X PC platform. The game was followed up by Ys II Eternal in 1999, and then Falcom upgraded and packaged both games in 2001 as "Ys I & II Complete." Several re-releases followed before it was repackaged up again as Ys I & II Chronicles some ~9 years later.
Some time in July 2002, I made it my life's mission to start a fan translation project for "Ys I & II Complete" upon discovering them thanks to Stephen Harris of RPGFAN.com which is what led to this video being translated!!! Unfortunately, years later a criminal company called XSEED Games would abuse/exploit these projects and criminally cheat me, but you can read more about that in my boycott XSEED link below...
