Indian equity benchmarks BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 made a gap-up start on the last trading day of the week as markets globally strengthened after the US October inflation data showed signs of cooling. Nifty Bank surpassed 42,000 for the first time ever.
Sensex is up 1.72% at 61,657.43, and the Nifty is up 297.25 points or 1.65% at 18,325.45.
