Описание: The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) were created on 28 March 2020 following the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The fund will be used for combat, containment and relief efforts against the coronavirus outbreak and similar pandemic like situations in the future. The Prime Minister is the chairman of the trust. Members will include the defense, home, and finance ministers.

The fund will also enable micro-donations. The minimum donation accepted for the PM CARES Fund is ₹10 (14¢ US). The donations will be tax-exempt and fall under corporate social responsibility. The Prime Minister had said that the PMO had received many requests to help in the war against COVID-19. Accordingly, the fund was set up and will be used for disaster management and research.

Paytm will donate 500 crores rupees. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said: Railways to donate Rs 151 crore. The Adani Foundation contributed Rs 100 crore to PM Cares Fund. Jindal group gave 100 crores in PM Cares to fight Korana. Tata Sons and Tata Trusts on Saturday jointly announced Rs 1,500 crore. BCCI announced to give 51 crores. Bhushan Kumar, owner of Tseries has given Rs 11 crore. Kumar also pledged to donate 1 crore rupees to the Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund. Kalyan Jeweller has announced to spend Rs 10 crore. Farooq Abdullah announced an amount of Rs 1.5 crore to the hospitals in Srinagar in the struggle against the coronavirus. Superstar Prabhash - 3 crores in PM Cares Fund and 1 crore in Andhra Pradesh CM Relief Fund. Sports Minister Rijiju donated 1 crore. Union Minister Sadanand Gowda 1 crore. Gautam Gambhir – 1 crore. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has contributed 1 crore rupees from her MP fund. Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur 1 crore rupees from his MP fund. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar had said to give Rs 25 crore in PM Cares. The Army, Navy and Indian Air Force, as well as the Defense Ministry employees, have decided to donate one day's salary which totals around 500 Crores will be Rs. Airport Authority of India – Rs. 20 crore. Anil Agarwal (Vedanta Resources Limited ) - 100 crores. Mukesh Ambani donates an additional Rs 500 cr to PM's emergency fund. Varun Dhawan - 30 lakh rupees in PM Cares Fund and 25 lakh rupees in Maharashtra Relief Fund. Punjabi singer and artist Guru Randhawa has given Rs 20 lakhs to the PM Cares Fund. Kavi Kumar Vishwas has given 5 lakh rupees in PM Cares Fund. Superstar Rajinikanth of the South donated 50 lakh rupees for daily wage laborers.
