As you learn to =read= your parents within your birthchart, you can start to understand why you might have chosen them before incarnation.
Identifying them is so helpful, if you are unpicking issues of your childhood, looking for ways to heal trauma, and plan for wholeness. This also describes how you might be as a parent. I mainly choose to look at the Sun, Moon, Saturn and Ceres as parental markers. I also pay attention to the 4th and 10th house and associated cusps.
