The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2025 is a financial aid program by the Life Insurance Corporation of India for meritorious students from economically weaker sections. The scholarship aims to help them pursue higher education. It is open to students who have passed their Class 10 or 12 exams.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who meet following criteria are eligible to apply for scholarship.

Academic Qualification: You must have passed your Class 10 or 12 (or equivalent) exam with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the academic year 2022-23, 2023-24, or 2024-25.

Enrollment: You must be enrolled in the first year of a professional, graduation, or vocational course at a government-recognized college, university, or institute in India during the academic year 2025-26.

Courses Covered: This includes a wide range of fields such as Medicine, Engineering, General Graduation (Arts, Science, Commerce, etc.), Integrated Courses, Diploma Courses, and ITI (Industrial Training Institutes) courses.

Family Income: The annual income of your parents or guardians from all sources must not exceed ₹4,50,000. Priority is given to students whose family income is below ₹2,50,000.

Special Scholarship for Girls: There is a specific scholarship for girl students who have passed their Class 10 exam with at least 60% marks and are pursuing higher studies in a 10+2 pattern, vocational, or diploma course for two years.

Scholarship Amount & Application
The scholarship amount varies based on the course you are pursuing:

Medicine: ₹40,000 per year

Engineering: ₹30,000 per year

Other Graduation, Diploma, or Vocational Courses: ₹20,000 per year

Special Girl Child Scholarship: ₹15,000 per year (for a duration of two years)

The scholarship is typically paid in two installments via NEFT directly to the selected candidate's bank account. It is renewable annually, provided the student maintains a required academic performance (e.g., 55% for medical and engineering students, and 50% for other courses). The last date to apply is September 22, 2025.

To apply, you must submit an online application on the official LIC website.
You will need to upload several documents, including:

Marksheet of the last qualifying exam.

Proof of admission for the current academic year.

Income certificate.

Bank account details (including IFSC code and a cancelled cheque).

Identity proof.
