PIAC (short for Robert Mueller Municipal Airport Plan Implementation Advisory Commission) is the City of Austin commission that has responsibility for overseeing the development of Mueller. They meet 10 times a year and almost no one who is not a commissioner attends the meetings. This is the best place to find out about what is happening in Mueller. In this presentation by TxDOT the intersection of Airport and IH-35 is discussed at length. It is going to be a Single Point Urban Intersection. That means the traffic on Airport will move better and it will be above IH-35 but you will not be able to go North South through the intersection on the frontage roads of IH-35.
