Описание: The Ice Cream Bean tree is a fast growing tree found in South America and other tropical areas around the world. It is a legume and produces pods that can be as large as a foot long depending on the variety. The fruit looks like white cotton with a black seed in the middle. It has a sweet taste that some say taste like vanilla ice cream. Water the tree regularly when newly planted and use a fertilizer without nitrogen as this tree produces it's own nitrogen. Older trees can sustain droughts and they are fairly low maintenance. The tree likes to spread out so prune the tree to maintain desired size. It can take a heavy pruning. It can be grown in Zones 9-11.
