In 2019, we custom built one of the coolest cars Mercedes-Benz produced at the time, a 2020 S 63 AMG Coupe. It was the birth of the designo custom build program, where paints from other manufacturers, or from the Mercedes-Benz catalogue of years prior, could be applied to a car not through the normal ordering process.
We confirmed that this was the only China Blue S 63 AMG Coupe built. We sold it locally in Cleveland, and we see it often as it is a daily driver. With nearly 90,000 miles on the clock, this one is in for a major service, specifically on the rear main seal. I go behind the scenes at the dealership, into the service department, and talk with John, one of our senior technicians, on what goes into this service.
