Bronze vases from the Unifed Silla Dynasty found in good condition

Описание: Korea's Cultural Heritage Administration has unearthed two bronze vases that date back to the 9th century...
tells us about the rare find... and the possible future for the vases.
These bronze vases were used by monks to fill pure water for Buddhist ceremonies.
Similar to a modern day kettle, there's a rim around the long neck.
Both are around 35 centimeters tall, and are estimated to have been made a thousand years ago, during the Unified Silla Dynasty.
Only three bronze vases from that period have been found so far, and two are damaged.


"You can say that this is the first art work from the early Unified Silla era. And it's preserved very well..."

The vases were found in this space... a room where monks used to live.


"The fact that these vases were found in this temple site in itself shows its cultural value."

Korea's Cultural Heritage Administration has been excavating sites across Korea since 2013 and will undergo a thorough analysis to see if these bronze vases can receive national treasure status.
