High-voltage fault location system "SVPA" is designed for:
testing insulation of cables and other devices and appliances by DC high voltage up to 20 kV;
burning faulty insulation of cables with its subsequent after-burning;
topographic surveying of cable line damage places by using acoustic methods;
distance-finding to cable damage places by voltage of 0,4-10 kV by using the pulse non-burning method at high and low voltage (with reflectometer "ISKRA-4").
