A compilation of the only other mainline certified Merchant Navy Class 35018 'British India Line' strutting its stuff. The big class 8 Bulleid is generally based in North West of England at Carnforth, the HQ of West Coast Railway. Currently the locomotive is in ticket but it's sort of sidelined due to the ongoing mark 1 rolling stock ban which has been imposed on West Coast Railway and unfortunately the big Bulleid is vacuum braked only, so it can't work on the current mark 2 air braked stock which is currently been used by West Coast.
So given all of the above, I felt it prudent to compile all of our favourite shots from a four year period showcasing some the Merchant's finest runs. With the locomotive being based in the North of England, the majority of the scenes are captured over said territory with plenty of action on Shap and the S&C. There are some scenes which are showcased further South. Anyway, if you're a big fan of the Southern I'm sure you'll enjoy this compilation of one Bulleid's finest locos !
