Day 2 of 6 of the trail running adventures around the Tour Du Mont Blanc!
Another day of fun running around the Tour Du Mont Blanc arranged by Vagabond Trails! Today we traveled from Les Contamines to Refuge De Mottets (located around Les Chapieux) for a total about 15 miles. More stunning views on this run.
I'd say the most memorable part of this run was around Mile 10 and 11 where we made the additional summit! At around 9,000 - 10,000ft elevation, this was supposedly the highest we'd ever be at for the entire trip. Vincent then popped out a surprise cheese (literal cheese) birthday cake for Jamie and we sang happy birthday to her up there and tried to light a candle, but it was windy up there and we huddled together circling the cake trying to break the wind, but unfortunately the lighting of the candle only still lasted about 0.2 seconds 😂. Happy Birthday to Jamie!
