For the treatment of Shredder Residue (ASR)
In corporation with Volkswagen AG, SiCon has developed a unique process for the treatment of shredder residue (light and heavy fraction or typical ASR from damp shredding systems). Readiness for the market has been quickly established. Today more than 200.000 tons of shredder residues are treated per year at locations all over Europe. By mid 2011 the annual treatment capacity of the VW-SiCon process will have reached 400.000 tons.
Modular concept for shredder operators
VW-Sicon is a modular process that can be adapted to the specific requirements of the shredder operators. The process produces high quality end-products which can be utilized in various recycling processes. More than 95% of the shredder residue can be recycled into usable products such as alternative reducing agents for iron making or fuel surrogates.
